The last Hoot General Body Meeting of the semester is tonight at 8!
You heard that right, folks. At 8 PM tonight, we will have our last Hoot meeting of the semester, where we (the two seniors on E-Board) will pass the torch to the next generation of Hoot leaders! Diana 504 as usual.
Open Call Writing Submissions
Do you have any creative or short-form writing that you want to submit for Hoot's next print issue? We would love to see it! Share it here! Submissions are due April 20th, and your writing, if selected, will be included in our next issue, Entropy! Please limit your submission to 400 words or fewer if you can. The next issue will be printed in the fall!
Need some inspo? Here is the description for Entropy!
Taking inspiration from past issues, past shoots, and just the general state of the world right now, Entropy is the theme for Issue 27. Entropy represents a lack of order, a lack of predictability. It is disorder. It is everything that’s built up waiting to spill out. It is randomness. Hoot Magazine’s Issue 27, Entropy, begs you to question authority, to cause chaos. Be confused, be tumultuous, be radical, be intense. Fashion is everything but wearing clothes. It is theory, philosophy, politics, and more. Consider all the aspects that make up fashion, a photoshoot, or a piece of clothing, and use that to interpret this theme. Consider what distress and disarray mean. Take inspiration from the world around you, or perhaps create your own world. Maybe you will build something, or you will cause decay; either way, we want you to experiment, have fun, and be intentional.

Hootvice
Stay vigilant, stay weird, and stay fun & fresh. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, because we don’t want you any other way.
If you find yourself gravitating towards the lawns as the sun is shining, no judgment. We get it. It’s that time of year. It feels as though new beginnings are upon us as we transition from the cold to summer. Though just because your life may be “a-changing: does not mean you will find your future partner on those MF lawns. Hinge is not called “Butler lawns” for a reason. That frat bro playing footy is NOT your man. Never trust someone shirtless on the lawn… like, seriously.
Don’t listen to the haters, let your toes out. Funky, freaky sandals are all the rage.
Underclassmen, sometimes that unpaid internship is totally worth it. Sorry.
For now, that is all.
See you tonight and on Saturdayyyyyyyyyyy!
Much love, many kisses.
Xoxo,
Hoot
